A part of many API developers’ toolkit, this was all about to figuring out ways to make their workflow even faster.

The upgraded product had collaboration and API organization — “collections”. Shortcuts, hints, and feedback from reviews played a big part in design.

 

Postman’s user base grew from one million to over Two million during this time.

 
 

Before:

— User experience was tedious: Typing a request and finding send was hard and It got further away or hidden as the request body got longer

— Architecture was broken. The request body, auth and other workflows were either grouped or separated haphazardly

After:

— Information architecture improved. The send button moved next to the request and doesn’t move. Request body, authorization and other UX issues fixed
